NASA flag-bearer Raila Odinga has broken his silence over the low cost Unga after the government subsidised prices.

The opposition leader questioned the sustainability of the flour saying the prices will still hike within two months.
“The subsidised price of maize flour was a political ploy, this is only a campaign gimmick in the next two months the prices will shoot up,” he was quoted by The Standard.

Raila pointed fingers to the government accusing it of playing politics using the flour prices and using it as a campaign tool.
He also claimed the government was making millions with the increased prices of fuel and petroleum products.

The government announced the reduction of flour prices to KSh 90 for 2kg packet from Wednesday, May 17.
The move which caused relief among Kenyans came after weeks of complaining of the high cost of living.
