ODM supporters CONTROVERSIALLY show support to Jubilee’s Mike Sonko (VIDEO)

– Senator Mike Sonko who is on a gubernatorial mission recently made a daring move in one of his campaigns

– The Senator, who is seeking a Jubilee ticket, intercepted opposition supporters in what many will describe as an unconventional manner

– Sonko, who is well aware of the support he enjoys from sections of the National Super Alliance, made some of the supporters literally take off opposition merchandise

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko sparked reactions online after sharing a video his supporters swiping opposition merchandise for those of the Jubilee administration.

Sonko, who garnered impressive votes from the Orange Democratic Movement in his road to becoming Senator in 2013, decided to ‘convert’ ODM supporters into his own by handing them T-shirts bearing his name.

In the video seen by TUKO.co.ke, the senator is right at the center of proceedings, handing in white shirts to residents who were initially dressed in ODM-branded shirts.

Speaking on the bold move through his Facebook page, Sonko justified that he was trying to unify his voters despite their differences in political affiliations.

“Do you think my fans in NASA strongholds should defect to jubilee or remain in NASA? I believe siasa sio vita or uadui that’s why I can’t allow mtu kuchoma t.shirts ya chama ingine. ONE KENYA ONE LOVE” He said .

The move sparked reactions from Kenyans, particularly those affiliated to the Senator, with many torn between whether Sonko’s supporters belonging to NASA should join the ruling coalition.

Meanwhile, Sonko’s intense campaigns are set to go on ahead of the highly anticipated Jubilee nominations, after the party postponed their primaries for a further 2 days.

The Jubilee nominations will therefore take place on Monday, April 24.
