Ugandan police on Friday, August 31 cleared Bobi Wine (alias Robert Kyagulanyi) to travel abroad where he is set to receive specialised treatment.
An earlier report filed by TUKO.co.ke, stated that Wine had been violently rearrested at Entebbe International Airport after allegations that he was fleeing from the country headed to Europe to seek treatment.

TUKO.co.ke has learnt that the node to have Wine seek medical attention from abroad was arrived at following a meeting convened by the Uganda Medical Board.
"Now that Hon. Kyagulanyi has been examined by the medical team of experts at the Mulago National Referral hospital, the Uganda Police Force has allowed him to leave the medical facility," read a statement by the Uganda police Force.
During the rearrest, the celebrity MP was bundled into a waiting police ambulance and driven to Mulago National Referral Hospital where he was put under custody of hawk eyed police.
The Police however stated that the move to arrest the MP was to ensure he had been examined after they learnt he had intended to depart from the country through Entebbe International Airport.

"As a result, Hon. Kyagulanyi was halted from departure and was taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital in the company of specialist doctors from the same hospital for the examination," stated the Police.
The same also happened to Mityana municipality MP Francis Zaake (Wine's co-accused) who had also tried to flee to India for treatment but was blocked.
The two legislators have been charged with treason following their arrest on Monday, August 13.
