K’Ogalo suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat to Sofapaka at Kinoru Stadium to surrender top spot to the brewers
Tusker FC played out to a barren draw against Kariobangi Sharks but still went top of the table ahead of Gor Mahia.
K'Ogalo suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat to Sofapaka at Kinoru Stadium, Meru, as Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno took charge of the team for the first time since coach Ze Maria's exit. Brewers' assistant coach Francis Baraza says it is good to be at the top, but it sometimes makes life difficult for the team.
"We are happy being at the top of the table, we deserve to be there because of the hard work we have put on the pitch. But being at the top has its own challenges, teams come over prepared because they are aware who they are playing, but we will give our best.
"Our intentions are still clear, we want to retain the title, we want to continue giving our best to the end."
Tusker plays Bandari in their next league outing.
