President Uhuru’s led party Jubilee has been hit with yet another blow after Isiolo Governor Godana Doyo ditched the party for a different one barely days to the party’s primaries.

Jubilee who will be conducting their high-stakes nominations on April 21 and April 25 will be forced to do without Godana Doyo in the primaries after the politician jumped ship to Party of Development and Reforms (PDR).

Doyo confirmed that he will not take part in Friday’s Jubilee nominations in an interview with a local daily.

However, the Isiolo Governor defended his move, stating that the new party that he has joined is Jubilee ‘Friendly’.

TUKO.co.ke has confirmed that Doyo will not be alone in his exit from Jubilee.

A source intimate to the Governor revealed that more than five aspirants in Isiolo who were eyeing different seats under Jubilee Party ticket have also ditched Jubilee for the newly formed PDR.

Explaining his move, Doyo said he decided to ditch Jubilee over the party’s transparency and structures during nominations, especially at the county level.
